DESCRIPTION:
Although usually a term sheet is an informal non-binding agreement between investors and startups, it is critical to understand its importance which can impact the failure or success of the company. In this workshop, entrepreneurs will be guided through different types of documents and concepts present in early stage investments, such as term sheets, shareholder agreements, and governance rights. During the workshop, the participants will get an overview of the vocabulary used in the legal documents, such as drag along, tag along, shares vesting, board seats, voting rights, etc. In the end of the workshop, participants will be acquainted with due diligence procedures and how to get prepared for the negotiation process.
